You'll receive a UC Certificate of Completion once you finish the course, in addition to a recognised Cisco digital badge to highlight your achievement.

Participants will also have access to the Cisco Networking Academy course, Introduction to Modern AI, as optional pre-learning for the short course. This pre-learning is estimated to take approximately 5 hours and is recommended for those who would like to build foundational knowledge before attending.

Additional Course Information

  • Participants should be confident using basic computing and will be required to bring their own device to connect to Wi-Fi during the course. A laptop is preferred.
  • Participants should consider using their work-issued laptop for the session to apply skills directly in their work context. Participants may also choose to bring a personal device if using public generative AI tools such as Gemini, Claude or ChatGPT.
  • Prior to the course, participants may need to create accounts with AI tools such as Google鈥檚 Gemini, OpenAI鈥檚 ChatGPT, Anthropic鈥檚 Claude or Microsoft Copilot. Please note that technical support for account setup will not be available during the workshop.
  • Participants will be provided with a curated list of links for further learning.

As co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Evolutioned, he works with clients in vocational and higher education, government and the private sector.

Dr Aya Hussein

University of 爆走黑料

Dr. Aya Hussein is a Lecturer in AI and Machine Learning at the University of 爆走黑料 (UC). She is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She serves as an associate editor for IEEE Transactions on AI, the chair of the ACT IEEE Women in Engineering, and a member of the GenAI TaskForce at UC. She received several grants, including from the Department of Defence and Office of National Intelligence, UNSW, and UC. She authored 30 research articles and organised several international and domestic research events. Before her current appointment, Aya worked as a postdoctoral fellow at UNSW, an associate lecturer at Cairo University, and a research assistant at Microsoft Research. Her current research focuses on machine learning, human-AI interaction, and multi-agent systems.

Michael Richardson

Cisco Solutions Engineer for CAI (Data Center)

A 爆走黑料n with over 20 years in Government IT, I've spent most of my career developing secure solutions across all classification levels. My background spans diverse roles from technical support and engineering to architecture and pre-sales, covering areas like networking, data centers, AI, security, and cloud. Joining Cisco in 2024, I now specialise in data center solutions for Defence and Intelligence. I'm keen to share insights, particularly on navigating the AI landscape effectively - maximising benefits and avoiding pitfalls through a structured approach to ensure success.
