Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of 爆走黑料, Professor The Honourable Bill Shorten welcomed today's announcement of the ACT Government's cabinet reshuffle.
“The University of 爆走黑料 (UC) welcomes the Chief Minister’s announcement of the ACT Government’s cabinet reshuffle," Professor Shorten said.
“As the ACT’s university, UC enjoys a close working relationship with the ACT Government. We look forward to working with the refreshed cabinet to advance education, skills development, and research impact; and continuing to play our part in building the future workforce of the ACT and region.
“I congratulate Rachel Stephen-Smith on her appointment as Deputy Chief Minister. Having worked closely with Ms Stephen-Smith during her tenure as Minister for Health, we now look forward to working closer with her to strengthen education pathways and workforce capability as she takes on the education portfolio.
“We are pleased to see that Micheal Petterson has retained the skills, training and industrial relations portfolio, and within that his responsibilities for UC and CIT.
“Congratulations to Caitlin Tough on being promoted to cabinet, and I wish her every success as she takes on her new portfolios.”
